About Forever 21
Buying new workout clothes can get expensive if you do not know where to look. I know it may seem weird to purchase your workout clothes from Forever 21, but in recent years the brand has made a huge push towards promoting its “Active” line and it has paid off. Not only have they expanded their workout clothes selection in-store and online but they have greatly improved the quality of their clothes. (No one wants to be that girl at the gym in the see-through pants, yikes!)
I started buying my workout clothes from Forever 21 about a year ago and as impressed as I was then, I am even more impressed now. The quality and quantity have risen over the last year and yet the prices have not.
Over the last year, the clothes have held up for me, so well in fact that I just went back yesterday to buy more.
The only thing I do not love is that they do not typically have free shipping on their website unless you spend $50. When you are buying $9 and $12 sports bras it can be a bit of a hassle trying to get your cart to $50. But then again, I guess that is the point. Haha! Sizing can also get a little weird. The sizing throughout can be pretty inconsistent depending on what style you are choosing. I have found myself anywhere from an Extra Small to a Large which is not something you find at higher-end stores. But for the lower price tag, honestly, who cares? So, worth it.
Another con of buying your workout clothes at Forever 21 is that the stores are not all created equal. I have 3 Forever 21 stores right by my home in Las Vegas. The 1st is absolutely horrible, the 2nd is pretty good, but the 3rd is absolutely AMAZING. It is located at Fashion Show Mall, off the Las Vegas Strip. Traffic on the strip can get crazy, but the 2 story, enormous Forever 21 there makes the trip completely worth it.
Forever 21 Activewear Review
Here are a few of my current favorites. I literally just bought them and they are already selling out!
Seamless Ribbed Bralette
A seamless knit bralette featuring an allover ribbed construction, scoop-cut neckline and back, and shoulder straps.
Active Raglan-Sleeve Crop Top
An athletic knit crop top featuring a crew neck and short raglan sleeves.
This is probably the highest quality item I purchased. Let me just say the material does not feel like $14 material. It is super soft, comes in black and white, and will look good on anyone! It has that soft “clinging” material that will give you a shape even though you are wearing a baggy t-shirt.
Active Cropped Cami
This is one of my favorite purchases. You can wear it with a sports bar underneath or on its own as a sports bra. It is made with really nice material! The one featured is their low-impact version, to show you the fit. But I purchased their regular cropped cami in black, it also comes in grey. All of them are so great!!
Ribbed Seamless Sports Bra
A ribbed knit sports bra featuring a scoop-cut neck and back, shoulder straps, a longline hem, seamless fit that sculpts, lifts, and smooths, breathable and moisture wicking fabric, and seams that lay flat for ultimate comfort.
I love that you can wear it as a sports bra or just a regular bra because it has some light lining that will give you a good shape and some extra coverage. Forever 21 offers it in 7 colors. I purchased a medium because I do not like my bras to be super tight and it fits perfectly. The padded cups are removable if you would like. Love everything about it.
Active Sheer Mesh Crop Top
An athletic sheer mesh knit top featuring a crew neck, long sleeves with dropped shoulders and banded cuffs, ribbed trim, raw-cut hem, and a cropped silhouette.
– Layering garments not included.
Active Empower Graphic Muscle Tee
An athletic knit muscle tee featuring a crew neck, front “Empower” text graphic, dropped armholes, and a cropped hem.
So now over to you guys. Have you tried out the new Forever 21 “Active” wear line yet? If so, what did you think?
